Every member is a ministry!  This is not just a slogan that we use here at South Decatur but it is a way of life for us here at the church. We believe that every person has a calling on their life and that God is wanting to use you to build the kingdom of God. Our goal at South Decatur is to get you involved in the ministry that God has called you into. We have many different areas of ministry available for you to become a part of and new ministries starting all the time. Below is just a few of the ministry that we have going on here at South Decatur:

                            Basis of Ministry

The BOM is one of the most exciting disciplship program that we have had here at South Decatur. This is a 25 week program that will give you all the basic tools that you need to be effective in ministry. The program takes you from a newcomer to a minister. Through baseball anaologies we go around the baseball diamond to show you how God is moving you into areas of ministry and purpose. You will be blessed by the training that you receive and the fellowship and fun you have learning. Find purpose in the Basis of Ministry.

                                        Media Ministry

With the ever changing world of technology we here at South Decatur are trying to stay in touch with this great way of sharing God's word. Our Media department is a new part of the ministry of South Decatur and one that is growing and moving forward. We are alway looking for talented people that can come and bring new insights into this ministry. Through the website, audio, video, lighting, and computer grapics, we are always looking for new ways to promote the gospel around the world.

                                  Men's Ministry  

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES! To be a part of a upstart Men's ministry. We have begun a men's ministry that we believe is going to reach out to the men of our community and give them support and fellowship that they need. Our goal is to build a first class men's ministry that will make every man a better husband, father, and man of God. Through devote, prayer, fellowship, work, and a lot of fun we want to reach out to every man that comes into our church and show them that they are not alone.

      Softball Ministry

One of the things that we really enjoy doing every spring and summer is playing softball. Now this may sound like we just want to win but the truth is that this has been one of the most successful ministry of evangelism in our church. Though we have won the city championship we are more proud that we have seen people that started on the softball team that are now active members in our church. This is a great way to have fun and get to know the people that you go to church with. Not only those on the team but also those in the stands every week. Men and Women play this great game.
